And Hugo Chavez is crowing, too.
Vicente Fox of Mexico controls the streets of Los Angeles and the Senate Judiciary Committee and now Hugo Chavez of Venezuela will control American elections where the Smartmatic and Sequoia voting machines are used. Like in California, Nevada, Florida, Washington state, Chicago, New Jersey, and Ohio. ¿Hablan español? You'd better start learning it.

Mexicans crow; crowds cowed gutless Senators
Mexican president Vicente Fox is crowing about how the crowds of Mexicans in the streets in Los Angeles cowed our gutless politicians on the Senate Judiciary Committee into passing an amnesty bill. The bill grants amnesty to 11,000,000 illegal aliens and means, basically, that you may violate United States law with impunity if you can scare United States politicians.
My recognition and respect for all the Hispanics and all the Mexicans who have made their voice heard. We saw them turn out this weekend all across the United States, and that's going to count for a lot as we move forward. Now, if Chirac can get enough Frenchmen to march in the streets, will the Senate cede English as the world-wide language of economics, finance, science and diplomacy in favor of French? Parlay voo fransay? If the Chinese can get enough people to march in the streets, will the Senate close up, or tax and regulate out of existence, every American industry in favor of the sweat shops and slave labor of China? Ready for the minimum wage to be lowered to $1.59 - per day? If the Muslims can get enough people to march in the streets, will the Senate incorporate Sharia law into American jurisprudence and women will become chattel? Cover up them bruised and battered faces, ladies!
This may be the most cowardly and gutless act ever perpetrated on the American people by their elected invertebrates in the Senate. The people marching in the streets this past weekend waving tens of thousands of Mexican flags are not Americans and they don't deserve to be. But they are treated as equals to us by our pusillanimous and spineless senators. No, they are treated as our betters. What Senator will come to your aid if you get stopped at a port of entry with $10,100.00 USD in cash or equivalent which you have failed to declare? Will you receive amnesty? Will you be welcomed by bishops and "latino" or "hispanic" politicians (maybe, if you promise to give them half)? Will thousands gather to march in the streets waving the Star Spangled Banner on your behalf? And I would ask you who might represent a greater threat to American law enforcement? The American citizen carrying $101.00 too much undeclared cash or the starving, desperate Mexican who wades across the river to break into the first unguarded house he finds?
I see this all the time here. By all the time, I mean at least once per week. People gather in the streets - here it's a group of teachers demanding higher pay, in Monterrey it's a group of health care workers demanding higher pay, in Mexico City it's a group of railroad workers demanding higher pay and over in Guadalajara it's a group representing bureaucrats demanding higher pay. And the government's reaction? The same as our lily-livered toads in the United States Senate. They cow and cave, rob a little Peter to pay a little Paul - just enough to get the streets cleared until the next groups gather. Is this how the United States government is now going to be managed? By mob rule - and Mexican mobs, at that? Apparently so. It sure worked this time.
Americans deserve all the hate we get from all over the world. We are truly incredibly stupid people.

Chavez decides not to bankrupt Venezuela, yet.
Hugo Chavez decides to continue shipping oil to the United States. He will not, at this time, cut off oil supplies to the US, thereby bankrupting Venezuela in, oh, 24 hours or so.

No speekee dee ingleesh!
Jacques Chirac, in his apparently never-ending search for more ways to demonstrate French stupidity and irrelevance, gets up and walks out of an EU symposium because the presenter, a fellow Frenchman, chose to deliver in English. Chirac interrupted the speaker, one Ernest-Antoine Seillière, the leader of the European business lobby UNICE, to demand why he was speaking English (all EU events are translated into all 20 official EU languages). Msr. Seilliere responded,
"I’m going to speak in English because that is the language of business."With that, Chirac, followed by 3 of his toadies, marched out of the room, leaving 24 other EU ministers "stunned". But that's not the best part. The official French explanation was that all 4 Frenchmen had to urinate, or whatever, simultaneously.
Charles Bremner calls the rejection of English "a comic crusade" and says that the incident, "could be read as a fine example of France's Quixotic battle against reality," and, "it said more about the way that Chirac and the governing classes are out of touch with much of their own the country."

Join Venezuela Peoples Army - $2.50/month
Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, the latest tin-pot dictator to arise in South America, is organizing a Venezuelan People´s Army. This army of private citizens is being trained to defend the "Bolivarian Democracy" against an imminent invasion by the Bush/Chaney/Rumsfeld/Rice quartet of obdurate bastard Gringo Yankee Nazi slavemasters (Ob-Gyns). The pay is 16,ooo Bolivars per month ($2.50 US funds).
General Alberto Muller Rojas, one of the members of the army high command who helped to devise the new thinking in military strategy being adopted by Venezuela's leftwing government, said: "If for example the United States were to invade Venezuela one day, and that's what many people are expecting, the only way we could repel such an attack would be a full scale guerrilla war against the foreign aggressors.Chavez and his Erwin Rommel wannabees might want to take a closer look at the battle casualty ratios in Iraq as well as what is happening to the ex-president of Iraq, one Saddam Hussein.
"Our professional army only numbers 80,000 soldiers, so we would need to use civilians like in Iraq to fight the Yankee forces."
In any event, here are some photos hot off the wires from Caracas with examples of what an invading imperialist army will face.

Those corrupt Republicans, again
Since the 1970s, more than a dozen congressmen have been convicted in criminal court. Their cases and sentences include:- Rep. Andrew J. Hinshaw, R-Cal., spent a year in jail after being convicted in 1976 of accepting bribes when he was county tax assessor. He lost the primary election and resigned at the end of his term.
- Rep. Charles Diggs Jr., D-Mich., was convicted in 1978 of operating a payroll kickback scheme in his congressional office. He served seven months of a three-year prison term. He was re-elected, then resigned in 1980.
- Rep. Michael Myers, D-Pa., served 20 1/2 months of a three-year prison sentence for accepting bribes from FBI agents impersonating Arab businessmen. He was convicted in 1980 and expelled from Congress.

- Rep. Mel Reynolds, D-Ill., was sentenced in 1995 to five years in prison for having sex with an underage campaign worker. He resigned from Congress, then was sentenced in 1997 to 6 1/2 years for bank fraud and other violations. The second sentence, which was to run at the same time as the first, was commuted in 2001 by President Clinton.
- Rep. Walter Tucker III, D-Calif., was sentenced in 1996 to two years and three months in prison for accepting and demanding bribes while mayor of a Los Angeles suburb. He resigned from Congress a week after his 1995 conviction.
- Rep. Dan Rostenkowski, D-Ill., pleaded guilty in 1996 to two felony mail fraud charges, lost re-election and served 15 months in prison. Clinton pardoned him in 2000.
- Rep. James A. Trafficant, D-Ohio, was convicted of 10 counts of bribery, conspiracy and racketeering, expelled from Congress and sentenced in 2002 to eight years in prison.
- Randy "Duke" Cunningham, R-Cal., sentenced to 8 years and four months for taking more than $2.4 million in bribes in exchange for a long list of political favors
Hmmm. Maybe the Republican crimes were of a more serious nature?

Computer down - light posting
My processor wiped out. While I await highly skilled Mexican computer technicians to install a new mother board, processor and DDR memory, I will be posting very little. I will try to get a Weekend History Lesson III posted but probably not until tomorrow.

Behold a Pale Horse
And I looked, and behold a Pale Horse:
and his name that sat on him was Nagin;
and Defeat followed with him.
More photos of General Nagin, cavalry commander, at Sweetness and Light.
Isn't impersonting a 4-star general against the law, or something?

Gunfight at the OK BP Corral
It was 4:00 AM at the BP gas station on West Dixie Highway in Miami. A fellow stopped in for some gas. A 22 year-old man, street name "SP", wandered up. He saw a gold chain on the gas customer that he wished for his own. SP pulled a gun and demanded the gold chain. SP was SOL. What SP got was a chain of lead - flying lead.
The victim was also carrying a gun. Police said he shot and killed the robber during a confrontation.
Police found evidence that bullets were flying everywhere, from both the robber's and the victim's guns. The gas station owner, Cesar Gaiton, said a cashier counted at least seven shots, some of which hit the food store.
"She was screaming. When she called me, I said, 'Hello.' She was screaming, 'Somebody shot somebody in his face,'" Gaiton said.
"From what we gather at this point is that he did have a permit for the firearm. He did utilize the firearm, at this point, from what it seems, in self-defense. But, that's why the interview process and all the information gathering remains the same, like any other case," said Alvaro Zabaleta, of the Miami-Dade County police.
The victim was taken to Miami-Dade Police Department for questioning.
Detectives believe the robbery attempt was random and the shooting was apparently in self-defense. An investigation continues.

Shoeshine man gives $100,000 to children's hospital
This is an unbelievable story. Shoeshiner Albert Lexie, in 24 years, has donated $100,000 to the Free Care Fund at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh - from his tips. The man only makes about $10,000 a year and donates another $10,000 to the hospital. What's more, he's got his own website.
Think about that for a moment. He makes $20,000 a year and gives half of it to the hospital, every year, year-in and year-out. Kind of makes Bill and Melinda Gates look like a couple of pikers, doesn't it?
Not to mention you and I.
