Tiger Woods maintains his position at 3 shots behind the leaders. He played steadier than in the first round but could not make up any ground. His game was steadier, that is, but his emotions were not. At one point, he stepped off of a green after missing a putt and cursed loudly, drawing disapproving looks from many in the gallery. At another point, he dragged his putter along behind him, slightly damaging the green's surface, forcing him to go back and repair it. This drew a rebuke, but no penalty, from PGA officials. Very un-Tiger behavior.

Woods is a master at keeping himself under control while the competition crashes and burns all around him. He's got 15 players between himself and the lead. That's a lot of guys to have to wait for the wheels to come off. We'll just have to wait and see.
