In this report from El Salvador, the FMLN, the former leftist guerilla group and now preeminent leftist political party, has split. The splinter group will call itself the FDR. Now, when referring to one or the other of the two parties, must one say the left left and the right left? Or the left left and the left left left? Or the upper left and the lower left?
Apparently the new party leaders think they can find 42,000 Salvadorans who do, the number of signatures required to get the party officially registered.
I wonder what 42,000 X's look like on a piece of paper?
