Introspection and self-criticism: Prachanda

Maoist rebels in Nepal set off a bomb in the middle of a road under a bus, killing 38 civilians and wounding 70. The blast lifted the bus several feet up in the air and left bodies and body parts of women and children strewn all over the road.

The Mao chairman, who calls himself Prachanda, apologized for the murders, saying that a Nepalese military convoy was the intended target. He said that party members who were responsible for the error had been severely punished by being suspended from their duties. He also stated that "My party has carried out introspection and self-criticism for this grave mistake."

I am sure that the suspensions, introspection and self-criticism will all be of great comfort to the husbands and fathers who will be burying their loved ones in pieces.
