"Serious incidents" in London subways - casualties "low"

The BBC is reporting that the series of small explosions in the London subway, or "tubes" as they call them, are being described by London Police Commissioner Ian Blair as "serious incidents" but that casualties are low.

Large areas around Warren Street, Oval and the Shepherd's Bush Hammersmith and City line Tube stations have been cordoned off. Commissioner Blair reports,
The casualty numbers appear to be very low in the explosions.

The bombs appear to be smaller than on the last occasion but we don't know the implications of all this yet.
The whole of the Northern Line has been suspended, along with the Victoria Line, the Hammersmith and City line, the Waterloo and City line and the Bakerloo line. Police have set up cordons round the stations

A number of other stations were closed including Great Portland Street, Westminster, Waterloo, St Paul's and Oxford Circus tube stations, as well as Waterloo tube station and King's Cross Thameslink.

There are at least two people reported injured, including one who was holding a rucksack that exploded.

Blair is calling for anyone with mobile phone pictures to send them to the London police.
