Paris, France: Fewer New Year's Eve problems this year - only 400 cars torched

Police in Paris and surrounding areas are congratulating themselves after the New Year's Eve celebrations in Paris went off with much less violence than last year.

This year, only 400 cars were torched and 258 people arrested. The arrested included several children between the ages of 8 and 12 for torching trash dumpters and caught carrying cans of gasoline.
