Oaxaca, Mexico: Striking teachers appeal for gasoline bombs and food

Oaxaca, Mexico. Mark in Mexico. http//markinmexico.blogspot.com/ http://palehorsemex.vstore.ca/ Turista Go Home painted on side of building in Oaxaca, Mexico. Striking teachers of the SNTE and their supporters from APPO and various anarchist, socialist, communist and revolutionary groups are calling on citizens to take to the streets with Molotov cocktails to defend the occupations of government buildings, offices and radio and TV stations. The anarchists are also asking for food donations.
Good advice, probably

In an appeal called "urgent" by the voice speaking on the Juárez University radio station, the SNTE and APPO have called upon the citizens of Oaxaca to make and use Molotov cocktails against any attempt to dislodge the protesters by force. It sounds like everybody is getting ready for some kind of major confrontation today. The voice is demanding that the citizens "listen to me" and come out into the streets to defend the uprising. They apparently fear a government attempt to take back the radio and TV studios.

TV Azteca is shut down and the studio has been abandoned by its employees who removed everything they could carry to protect it from the strikers.

Three newspapers, El Imparcial, El Tiempo and Extra are frantically trying to get today's issues printed and out on the streets before dawn.

Along with the cocktails the anarchists have also asked for food because, "Our compañeros haven't eaten for days."
