NARAL Pro-Choice America's advertisement which accuses Judge John Roberts of
"supporting . . . a convicted clinic bomber" and of having an ideology that
"leads him to excuse violence against other Americans" has been quite effectively debunked by FactCheck.org. The loonies of the left have decided that Judge Roberts poses a threat to the large scale murdering of unborn babies and has attacked.
One's opinions or beliefs regarding abortion can become obscured by the breathless rhetoric and outright lies by those holding opposing opinions or beliefs. In fact, those in opposition can obscure their own no-doubt closely held opinions and beliefs by their own breathless rhetoric and lies. In this case, that's OK by me. The lies and slanders propagated by the opposition did not serve them well in 2000, 2002, 2004 and I don't expect that these lies and distortions will serve them well in 2006 nor 2008. Nor will the opposition be well served by its obfuscations and disingenuousness in the upcoming confirmation process of Judge Roberts. People are not stupid. They may be misinformed, however, and that's where the blogs come in.
