Flight 93 Memorial architect will alter design

The architect of the much lambasted memorial to United Flight 93 has offered to alter it. The so-called Crescent of Embrace, which was blasted here and just about everywhere else because of its use of the symbol of Islam, can be modified and the architect is "somewhat optimistic" that his design intent can be maintained. The architect, designer Paul Murdoch, really likes the crescent shape and has incorporated it previously into other designs. I have an idea. Why not convert his prescious crescent into a keyhole type shape and maintain the arc and the opening which marks the flight pattern of the plane. Like so, more or less:
