Private companies responded in early hours

Rep. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, writing in the WSJ, says that he became so exasperated with the beaurocracy in Louisiana and New Orleans that he called on private companies for help. He specifically mentions Budweiser (Aheuser Busch) and Ford Motor company:
After our staff visited communities to assess local needs, Budweiser delivered truckloads of water and ice. Ford provided vehicles for search and rescue. Every company we contacted provided goods and services without compensation.
I might mention that while Anheuser Busch is a pretty wealthy and successful company, Ford Motor Company struggles daily to stay afloat (no pun intended). Evil capitalists.
