In this fawning interview from Winnipeg, Canada, Tim Robbins reveals that he has an apparent animal fetish. He says that he is disillusioned with "the pussies". Later, he mentions "neutered" and "lame duck".
He's plugging a DVD of his anti Iraq war and anti GWoT play, "Embedded" and the fawning by the slobbering interviewer, one Bruce Kirkland, is apparent from the non-use of the word "alleged". Kirkland says, "Most absurdly, he (Robbins) was one of the celebrity puppets lampooned as dupes and fools in the South Park creators' comedy, Team America." Later, Kirkland falls all over himself agreeing that the film version "savages the deep thinkers in the Pentagon and the White House for their lies and deceptions about weapons of mass destruction and other issues, including false intelligence that linked Iraq to terrorist cells."
Kirkland says, "The play was written before it was fashionable to acknowledge the truth." And then he quotes Robbins as saying, "But we were right!" And who is "we"? Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, Alec Baldwin, Janeane Garofalo and Michael Moore, deep thinkers all.
Winnipeg seems like a long way to go for a favorable interview.
