It's 8:00. Do you know where your children are?

The BBC reports "Bomb suspect's family 'shattered' ". The family of Shehzad Tanweer, 22, has learned that he was one of the suicide bombers in London. "We have lost everything we have," said his uncle, "It wasn't him. It must have been forces behind him."

The family of Hasib Hussain, 18, had called the police casualty bureau at around 10pm last Thursday to say he had gone to London with friends and was missing and was a potential victim. He has now been identified as another of the bombers.

I guess it is the same thing as a family learning that a child is a drug user, a thief or a murderer. They seem always the last to know. Sad, for the family.

In the case of Shehzad Tanweer, he had returned from a two month visit to Pakistan where his family believed that he had been studying the Koran. Now they know which particular passages in the Koran he had been taught.
