This is a report (I'm not making this up) about a guy who makes a living selling bat guano. For those of you who don't get out much:
He visits local churches with bats in the belfry (the churches', not his) and collects the treasure with an industrial vacuum cleaner. He then sells the bat exhaust for $2 a pound. A lady who owns a gift shop and sells the material for him says,
People find it makes nice gifts. They think it's cool because it came from a church. Those bats were sleeping through all that church singing and praying, and it's in their droppings.Uh-huh.

"Well thank you. Let's open this up and see what we have here.
Oh my. Oh my goodness.
It's . . . it's . . . it's bat shit.
A box of holy bat shit.
Gee whiz, it's just what I've always wanted."
for art, gifts and collectibles -- all hand made
by Mexican indigenous artists.
Thanks!
